Description

The Chamber's mission is to represent the interests of its Members by advocating for a strong community both economically and socially. The Executive Director (ED) is the face of business in the Weyburn region and oversees the efficient management of the Chamber's services & programs, maintains strong working relationships with the federal, provincial & local governments, & is chief adviser to the Board & is committees.
The skill set of the ED is one of sound business sense, excellent communications skills, strategic thinking, & a client focused approach to partnership & resource allocation & gathering.
The ED reports directly to the Board of
Directors of the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce.

Competencies, Qualifications & Experience
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
An understanding of business & the needs of business. Knowing how businesses grow & the basic principles of economic development
Excellent relationship building skills
Ability to travel
Ability to participate in provincial discussions on issues affecting business & economic growth in Saskatchewan
Strong management skills
Marketing & website development skills
Strong financial management skills including budgeting & reporting
Administrative skills including good working knowledge of parliamentary procedures & a strong working knowledge of basic office software & communications.
