Regina Youth For Christ is a mission organization dedicated to helping children and their communities, worldwide, reach their full potential by tackling causes of isolation and hopelessness. The right candidate will be experienced and/or educated in working with youth or young adults in a supportive environment and be available to work either day shifts. As a missions organization, Regina Youth For Christ requires all staff to be in agreement with their Statement of Faith and to continually fund-raise to support the Ministry vision.
Schedule:
Saturday and Sunday 1st and 3rd week of each month.
Work Hours:
10:30 am - 10:30 pm
Overview:
Assessing and Planning
- Ability to support a youth's case plan
- Ability to work collaboratively on a team
- Ability to create a consistent evening routine
- Ability to communicate professionally to support agencies
Relationship building and Support:
- Ability to build trusted relationships with youth
- Ability to motivate and empower youth towards success
- Ability to support youth in problem-solving and behaviour choices
- Assist youth to create and meet goals
- Provide behavioural support
- Support youth with any day-to-day activities as needed
Overseeing and Guiding:
- Ability to track and measure a youth's success
- Ability to redirect or apply consequences to a youth's choices
- Ability to hold a youth accountable for their choices
- Ability to set and maintain healthy, professional boundaries
Requirement:
-Must hold a valid drivers license and must be able to carry 10 + passengers.
-Lift up to 50 pounds
-Ability to stand, sit, crouch or kneel
-Ability to perform CPR and other basic first aid functions
-Ability to participate in low impact activities with youth
