Job Description: The Assistant Health Services Manager is directly accountable to the Health Services Manager of Preeceville and District Health Centre.   The Assistant Health Services Manager is accountable for front line leadership, for creating and sustaining a workplace environment that fosters respect, build trust, practices open communication, encourages innovation and promotes meaningful participation, growth and development.  The Assistant Health Services Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the health services/programs by providing direction, coordination of care, delivering, planning and direct and indirect client care in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values as well as the policies and procedures of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The Assistant Health Services Manager is also accountable for patient and staff safety as well as managing and evaluating staff performance. The Assistant Health Services Manager must work cross functionally within the portfolio and across the organization to support operations.
Required Qualifications

Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable
Undergraduate degree in Health, Social Sciences or Administration
Experience
Management/leadership experience in health care, with a demonstrated ability to manage people and resources in the health service environment.

A minimum of three to five years leadership experience in a health care organization an asset.

A combination of education, professional leadership training and experience will be considered.

Long Term Care experience is an asset.
