Description

Autism Services is looking for the right person to fill a permanent, part time position, working 22.5 hours per week in the main office - 12:00 Noon to 4:30, Monday to Friday, effective immediately.  

This is a multifaceted administrative support position with responsibility for a very broad range of administrative duties. The Administrative Assistant  Reception/Programs will work as a member of the administrative support team with primary responsibility of front office reception as well as providing some basic accounting support for Finance; clerical support for AIP and Family Programs and other general tasks.

Qualifications required:

Completion of Grade 12 and an Administrative Assistant diploma from an accredited post-secondary educational institution.
Minimum of one year related job experience including accounting, in an office setting.
Strong computer and organizational skills including a working knowledge of Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with Access and Microsoft Dynamics GP is an asset.  
A good working knowledge of standard office equipment.
Must have the ability to perform daily routines and set priorities with minimal supervision.
Must respect confidentiality in all matters.
Have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with other team members.
Familiarity with programs such as Boardmaker and PECS is an asset.
Demonstrated understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is an asset.
