Description

Regina Airport Authority requires an Electrician to work as part of a team to install, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, control devices and related equipment in an aerodrome environment.  You will be responsible for performing maintenance of all airport electrical systems and equipment related to aviation navigational aid systems, including restoration of all airport electrical systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- While promoting safety awareness, perform all duties with an ownership attitude in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all airside electrical and navigational aid systems, including, but not limited to runway and taxi lighting, regulators, approach lighting.
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all building and groundside electrical systems equipment including the departures and arrivals conveyor systems.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment and components.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
- Oversee maintenance contractors and service providers.
- Support the implementation of site construction projects.
- Direct and train other workers and apprentices to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring and equipment.
- Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Electrical Journeyperson Papers.
- 3 - 5 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience required with a preference given to those with experience in airfield electrical.
- Knowledge of all applicable building and airfield electrical standards, and codes.
