Building the Future
12 month Temporary Full-Time Employment
Administrative Support/Health Care Services


Saskatchewan Workers' Compensation Board's Building the Future Program was created to further enhance the diversity of its workforce, providing valuable work experience to help launch your career.  Temporary full-time opportunities are currently available for recent post-secondary graduates for persons of Aboriginal ancestry and/or individuals with a disability.



Administrative Support / Health Care Services

Administrative Supports provide transcription and telephone answering services to assigned department staff.  Operates and maintains word processing file directories on personal computer.

Health Care Services assists care providers and injured workers by facilitating access to advanced assessment and treatment, diagnostic testing and specialist appointments as needed.



Duties will vary but will include the following:

    Customer service to stakeholders (internal and external customers) either in person or over the phone.
    General office duties, such as answering telephone, data entry, faxing etc.
    Decision making in accordance with policy, procedures, and legislation



Criteria

    Self declare as a Persons of Aboriginal ancestry and/or individuals with a disability (documentation verifying eligibility will be required before an interview).
    Qualifications include strong customer service orientation; excellent communications skills; planning and organizing; demonstrated interpersonal skills; teamwork and cooperation; and computer competence.
    Minimum one year of successfully completed post-secondary education Office Administration.
    Medical Terminology course is an asset
    Computer competence  MS Word/Excel
    A typing speed of 30 net words per minute
