As a member of the Care Services Division team the Site Leader of Oncology Pharmacy Services is responsible and accountable for leading the
operational activities within the oncology pharmacy service programs at the tertiary clinic sites of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency (Allan Blair Cancer Centre, Regina or the Saskatoon Cancer Centre) under the direction of the Provincial Manager, Oncology Pharmacy Operations.
These responsibilities include ensuring the provision of safe, comprehensive and effective drug distribution services and the provision of clinical oncology pharmacy services within the principles of pharmaceutical care to optimize drug therapy. The Site Leader is involved in the planning, policy development and supervision of activities required for prescription dispensing, sterile IV admixture preparation, safe handling of hazardous drugs, distribution of drugs to the community and outside organizations, patient-focused clinical pharmacy services, medication teaching, drug resource management, medication reconciliation, investigational and clinical trial drug management and medication incident detection and monitoring. These responsibilities have been established to support the Care Services Division in its efforts to ensure safe, accessible, high-quality, cost effective cancer services are provided to Saskatchewan residents.

department staff and safe, high-quality care for patients.
Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy, licensed by the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP), a minimum of 5 years of clinical or supervisory pharmacy experience in an ambulatory or hospital computerized environment or an equivalent combination of applicable education, training and a minimum of 1 year of clinical pharmacy/supervisory experience in a tertiary care hospital setting.
