What you will be doing
Detect and apprehend shoplifters or those committing fraud while following proper procedure and protocol in accordance with section 494 of the Criminal Code of Canada
Compile and present evidence for the purpose of court or arbitration
Complete & compile necessary evidence and paperwork in a timely and professional manner
Detect and conduct internal investigations
In partnership with the retail store staff, identify possible shrinkage concerns
Follow post orders for each location
Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from the Operations Manager
Record daily activity, complete incident reports
Provide excellent customer service as required
Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends
Ability to walk/stand extended periods of time
Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple projects effectively in order to meet strict deadlines
Work independently with minimal supervision

What we are looking for
Prior security or LPO experience required
Excellent customer service skills
Some understanding/knowledge of applicable laws
Valid drivers license
Meticulous record keeping, report writing and observation skills
Security Course Certificate required
