Description

Adecco is currently hiring for a GIS Analyst in Regina, SK. To be considered for this role, you must have a degree on Geographic Information Systems, a degree in Geographic Information Science Advanced Diploma in GIS Applications, Advanced Diploma in Geographic Information Systems or a Bachelor of Technology GIS.

Responsibilities:

-Providing support for GIS data conversion, systems integration and systems and applications development and implementation.

-Design, develop, test, document, and certify applications, programs and systems functionality.

-Coordinate individual data and application development projects.

-Troubleshooting problems experienced with the use of GIS and related software.

-Assisting in training in various aspects of the GIS software and database creation and use.

-Performing spatial analyses, creating information products from the GIS and related software and subsystems.

-Developing quality control procedures and conducting data quality reviews on products received from external firms.

-Assisting with the integration of new spatial data into the GIS.

-Providing support for high quality map production


Qualifications: Preferred :

-Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Degree in Geographic Information Science, Advanced Diploma in GIS Applications, Advanced Diploma in Geographic Information Systems, Bachelor of Technology Geographic Information Systems.

-Degree in Geography + experience with ESRI software for 4 of the last 5 years

Alternative : GIS certificate Preferential candidates will have worked in the natural gas industry and have had two years of recent work experience with ESRIs ArcGIS for Desktop.

-A background in the oil and gas industry

-Demonstrated strong organization and communication skills (both verbal and written)

-Detail oriented Ability to address/respond to multiple competing demands in a timely fashion
