Description

The City of Weyburn is a dynamic, progressive municipality located in the heart of Southeast Saskatchewan.

The Human Resources Manager will report directly to the City Manager and will be responsible for:
     - Providing advice to Senior Managers in staff planning, recruiting, interviewing and candidate selection;
     - Responding to general compensation and benefit inquiries/requests from all City employees;
     - Administration management of collective agreements;
     - Assisting the City Manager with Industrial Relations activities such as collective bargaining, grievance and arbitration hearings;
     - Developing, enforcing and maintaining human resource/personnel policy;
     - Developing and maintaining uniform job descriptions for all City departments;
     - Developing and posting all vacant job postings and prepare interview materials;
     - Conducting regular review of the Out of Scope Job Evaluation Policy;
     - Assisting Payroll in providing all necessary information to employees of the City Pension Plan, including new hires, terminations, retirements and plan changes;
     - Performing other related duties as required.
Knowledge and Specific Training:
     - Diploma or Post-secondary degree in Human Relations;
     - Knowledge of current standards, policies, procedures, legislation, and trends affecting Human Resources management;
     - Knowledge of the functions, principles, policies and governance structure of municipal government;
     - Three years of progressive experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in a municipal environment;
