KMP Law is a medium sized, full service law firm conveniently located in downtown Regina.  Our broad and diverse range of clientele have come to rely on KMP Law as a firm with knowledgeable, confident, highly skilled lawyers who know and understand them, their needs and will get the job done.

KMP Law is looking for a Legal Assistant to join our team.  The Legal Assistant will be responsible for a wide variety of legal and administrative duties within the law practice. This includes the preparation of legal documents and correspondence, responding to inquiries, and interacting with clients. This position requires high attention to detail, organization and effective communication skills.  This position is a one year Maternity Leave coverage term, from October 2018 to November 2019.

Job Duties
Prepare legal documents based on written instruction, verbal direction, taped court proceedings, and precedents.
Draft correspondence for lawyers.
Proofread and edit documentation for grammar, spelling, and content accuracy.
Interact with clients.
Assemble and prepare legal documents.
Input lawyer time sheets in to accounting system.
Open, close, and bill client files.
Maintain a professional image and demeanor with all employees, management, lawyers and visitors at all times.
Maintain and monitor office supply inventory levels.
Other duties, relevant to the position, will be assigned as required.

Requirements
Secondary education preferred.
Proficient use of various office based software including Microsoft Office 2007/2010.
