Position Highlights
- Support individuals with disabilities to identify desired outcomes, develop and implement action plans to achieve desired outcomes
Support individuals with disabilities in developing daily living skills. This may include:
- Budgeting, banking and money management
- Shopping, meal planning and preparation
- Home Management (cleanliness and safety)
- Awareness of community resources
- Daily living skills as identified by individual
- Support in developing interpersonal and social skills
- Facilitation of peer support and mentorship
- Complete the documentation for administration as outlined by the manager
Qualifications
- The ability to work effectively with people in diverse settings
- Awareness of community resources
- Experience/training working with people with disabilities (cognitive and/or physical)
- Continued Care Assistant (CCA) certificate ideal but not mandatory.
