We are currently recruiting for a University Indigenous Studies Instructor who will work as part of a team dedicated to the success of students who are pursuing their Diploma and/or Degree.  

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: teach courses in assigned program area; prepare class sessions and assignments to help students grasp course content and how it integrates with overall student learning outcomes for the course; create a learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation; document students attendance, participation, and academic progress by giving and grading assignments, projects, quizzes and/or examinations that lead to a final grade; be accessible to student outside the classroom, providing ample periods of time for counselling and mentoring students in matters related to academic success and life goals; stay informed about changes and innovations in program field.

The minimal qualifications for this position are: A Bachelor of Education or Arts Degree and a Masters Degree with a background in Indigenous Studies.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience teaching, preferably in northern Saskatchewan.  A thorough understanding of Aboriginal Culture in northern Saskatchewan is a definite asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Accrediting Institute: University of Saskatchewan  Instructor must meet accrediting institutes requirements.
