Description

Southeast College, one of Saskatchewan's Top Employers for 2018, is currently recruiting a Division Assistant to the Corporate Services division. This part-time (.5FTE) term position is based from the Weyburn Administration Offices.

DUTIES:
The main function of this position is to provide ongoing administrative and clerical support as well as provide back up for the operations of the Finance Division.   Under minimal supervision, this position performs a variety of general office duties of varying complexity and assists the entire Division to function smoothly.  They will provide support services to the Vice President of Finance and provide backup coverage to the accounting clerks  payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

QUALIFICATIONS:    
Education
One year post-secondary education in business applications from a recognized institution with specific accounting courses
Experience        
One to two years experience in an accounting environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    Knowledge of administrative support systems
    General accounting knowledge
    Knowledge of computerized accounting systems
    Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer applications, including use of email, word processors, spreadsheets, and data entry.
    Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with College staff
    Maintains confidentiality at all times.  
    Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills.
    Proven ability to practice effective time management and prioritize work
    Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize work according to the needs.
    Demonstrated proficiency in the use of grammar, spelling, and punctuation in the English language.
    Competent in designing and using databases and spreadsheets
