General Sandblasting & Painting is currently seeking motivated, self-starting individuals with excellent communication and organizational skills to join our team as a Yard Operator.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as their ability to operate powered mobile equipment (e.g. forklift, front end loader, zoom-boom) in a safe and efficient manner.
The candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a competent equipment operator.
- Ability to solve problems and work independently with little or no supervision,
- Ability to offload and reload product without causing damage to surfaces.
- Ability to follow tasks safely and efficiently.
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Offload all incoming jobs from delivery trucks.
- Loading all outgoing jobs onto delivery trucks.
- Maintaining a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all jobs handled, as well as tracking all pieces of each specific job.
- Setting up jobs for abrasive blasters.
- Loading jobs into paint shops for painters.
- Unloading jobs from paint shops without damaging finished surfaces upon completion of job.
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- All other duties as assigned.
Position is subject to unscheduled overtime.
