Description

The Rural Municipality of Britannia No. 502 is looking for a Bylaw Enforcement Officer to enforce bylaws within the municipality.  Depending on experience, the successful applicant may also have the opportunity to act as the Emergency Measures Organization Coordinator as well as the Weed Inspector for the Municipality.  The successful applicant should have previous experience in law enforcement and/or the ability to read and understand bylaws efficiently and apply their meaning.  A good understanding of the geographical area to be served is a definite asset.  A valid driver's license is required, and use of your own vehicle is preferred.  If the bylaw enforcement officer can also serve as the weed inspector for the area, an understanding of agriculture would be an asset, although the two jobs may be divided.  If the bylaw enforcement officer can also serve as the Emergency Measures Organization Coordinator, experience as a First Responder or with an Emergency Measures Organization is a definite asset.  

The position will be ongoing and casual, and on an "as needed" basis.  There may be the ability to expand hours into other areas if a suitable candidate is found.
