Competencies:
(1) Grade 12 or Grade 12 equivalent. Minimum two years of post-secondary education in adult training, law enforcement and/or firearms required.
(2) Must be able to successfully complete and maintain firearms qualifications, instructor certifications and any other necessary training and certification in order to successfully perform this role.
(3) Knowledge of legislation relevant to firearms in Saskatchewan and demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in practical situations.
(4) Minimum of two years experience in the safe and legal handling of firearms including the mechanical aptitude to perform repairs and maintenance on firearms.
(5) Demonstrated experience developing and delivering training including the provision of feedback and assessment to candidates.
(6) Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
