Duties and Responsibilities
-Work in conjunction with JA Techs technical and construction team to perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, repair, specialized installation, commissioning, and start-up of low, medium, and high voltage equipment and apparatus associated with an electrical power system
-Perform fiber optic installations, complete terminations and fusion splicing
-Conduct work in a manner prescribed by JA Techs Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Manual
-Comply with Electrical Code, safety standards, and other applicable legislation
-Perform other duties as required
Skills and Qualifications
-Interprovincial Journeyperson Electrician Red Seal
-Fiber Optic Certified
-Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills
-Strong knowledge of drawings (wiring, schematic, and layout)
-High voltage terminations and/or Fiber experience is considered an asset
-Site experience
-Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines without supervision
-Self motivates with a pro-active attitude and ability to pitch in and do what is required
-Valid Class 5 drivers license
-Willingness to travel regularly to job sites
-Proficiency in the Windows environment and Microsoft Office
-Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
