Description

The KidsFirst NORTH Program, a highly successful program for northern families, is a joint initiative of local, regional, and provincial partnerships. Under the direction and guidance of the Program Manager, the Community Development Manager will lead and coordinate community development initiatives within our KidsFirst NORTH communities, including intensive prenatal and postnatal outreach and home visiting programs, supplementary mental health and addiction services, enhanced childcare supports, and various early learning and family support programs.
This is a senior management position requiring excellent:
    leadership, management & communication skills
    knowledge of early childhood development
    knowledge of community development principles
    ability to work with diverse organizations and individuals
The ideal candidate must possess an undergraduate degree in the Human Services field (Education, Health, Social Work, etc) and have 3-5 years managerial experience. This candidate must have experience working with children and families, knowledge in early childhood development, family dynamics and prevention strategies, policy development, community outreach and community capacity building. It is required that the applicant have strong communication skills that will assist them in providing presentations, reports on progress and to have strong computer skills to track progress electronically.  
The ideal candidate must possess a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle with the means and ability to travel throughout Northern Saskatchewan.
