OVERHEAD DOOR TECHNICIAN
LUX is looking for an ambitious, self-starter that wants to learn a trade and build a long term career in the construction industry. We offer an in house training program that will pay you as you learn and reward you for the accomplishment. The candidate will learn both residential and commercial install and service. This is a full time year round position that will be of interest to individuals who are mechanically inclined, who have possibly worked in other trades. Overhead Door Technician is a recognized trade and some schools now offer courses in this field.
Qualifications
Applicants shall meet the following requirements:
3+ years experience servicing/installing residential overhead doors or in a relevant trade (ie construction, mechanical, electrical, etc)
Superior resourcefulness, integrity, solid work ethic, ability to work as part of a team
Good customer service, communication and problem solving skills
Possess a valid drivers license and clean driver's abstract
Comfortable with heights (ladders & lifts where applicable)
Good physical condition and mechanical aptitude
CDI Certification is an asset
Relevant safety training and tickets are an asset (such as fall arrest, lift operation, etc.)
