Responsibilities
-Operator will be responsible for the daily unloading of various materials consisting of a variety of bulk liquid and dry products
-Ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies
-Ability to operate or learn to operate railcar loading systems and equipment
-Ability to perform work safely and productively
-Ability and interested in being cross trained on all operations at the facility
-Communicates effectively and is not afraid to ask questions
-Accurately completing necessary documentation
-Adheres to company safety policies and procedures and willing to enforce them with other employees and visitors
-Assist with other general duties within the facility (general maintenance, landscaping)
-Willing to respond to emergencies as part of the Emergency Response Team
-To attend to emergencies, successful candidates must reside within 90 minutes of the site
-Willing to work a rotating shift work schedule, overtime, holidays, nights and weekends as required.
-Willing to be on call and meet call-out standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergencies
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Physical Requirements:
-Physically able to climb up and down railcars/ladders safely, walk up and down steps, and work at heights
-Willing to work outside in inclement weather
-Willing to receive general safety training as it applies to work tasks
-Willing to work with liquid hazardous and dry bulk materials
-Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds
-In good physical condition (able to walk one (1) to two (2) miles per shift)
Qualifications
-Valid Drivers License
-Strong Mechanical aptitude to operate and maintain: railcar & trans-loading equipment (e.g., hoses, portable conveyors, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to medium sized equipment, etc.)
