Description

McClure Place  is a non-profit living community for seniors ages 55+ (https://mcclureplace.ca). The Executive Director is primarily accountable to provide operational leadership, deliver strategic plans and develop strong internal and external relationships. In addition, he/she is accountable to provide strong people leadership in addition to financial and risk management. The Executive Director is involved in funding initiatives and raising the McClure community public profile. The incumbent provides leadership in both the formulation and execution of the vision, goals, and policies that are consistent with the overall strategic direction of the McClure Place Association Inc.

Nature of the Work:  The Executive Director ("ED") is based in Saskatoon and is responsible for an operating budget of over $2.7 M with an overall staffing of approximately 50 employees and 5 direct reports. The ED is accountable to the Board of Directors for providing strategic leadership and management in the areas of financial, risk and facilities management; board administration and support; program and service delivery; people leadership and community relations. The ED builds and maintains relationship with the McClure Church community while reporting to the board and government agencies.

Required Competencies: Demonstration of the following performance competencies is required: Visioning, Communication (Leadership), Relationship Building, Team Building, Results Orientation, Influence and Persuasion, Change Leadership, and Decisiveness.

Qualifications: Candidates are required to have a minimum of five years experience in a senior leadership role with accountabilities for people leadership, planning and managing resources. Previous work experience in a not-for- profit care facility as well as working with boards will be considered valuable assets.
