Facility: St Pauls Hospital
Job Description: The Nurse Practitioner with the School Wellness Team works in as part of an inter-disciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, and Mental Health Counsellor. The team is based at St. Paul's Hospital C wing but works out of 3 core neighbourhood schools. The Nurse Practitioner delivers general health care and support to children and families attending these 3 schools.
Required Qualifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) as an RN (NP)
Experience
Requires 3 years full-time experience as a Registered Nurse, with a minimum of one year nursing experience in a Primary Health Care Setting.
2 years' experience as a Nurse Practiioner preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Organizational skills
Decision making skills
Leadership skills
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage time and competing deadlines, work under pressure, and establish priorities
Other Information

NOTE: This is a Provincial Posting and is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Articles 27.02 and 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement. First preference will be given to employees of the SKHA (Saskatoon) and its affiliated agencies.
Field hours

Pediatric experience an asset.
