Description

The AgIntelligence Specialist will work with and report to the Director of AgIntelligence while championing the Blairs clientele at the Nokomis location. This position requires the ability to: service the current customer base, gain sales of crop inputs, prospect for new customers; and focus on the growth of this business unit. This person will be expected to build relationships with farming operations both at their kitchen tables and in their fields while committed to prospecting for new business out on the road. Frequent travel within the Nokomis geography throughout the entire calendar year will be required.  

Roles & Responsibilities
Maintain a strong positive relationship with existing Blairs Nokomis clients and also pursue opportunities for growth of the business unit
Work closely with Blairs customers to help them achieve greater ROI based on their farming goals and objectives
Provide both agronomic knowledge for clients crop fertility needs based off of soil samples and in-field recommendations on proper application and timing
Create business plans for personal and future success within the AgIntelligence Role
Work closely with industry partners for the most up to date agronomic product knowledge and industry advances
Keep up to date on new technologies and innovations within the agriculture industry
Participate in the planning and execution of plot initiatives for learning opportunities
Work closely with the AgIntelligence team on special projects and growth of those projects
  
Skills Required
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
The ability to understand and execute a business plan
Understanding of western Canadian agronomic practices and ability to relate to growers in both practical application as well as new crop science technologies
Willingness to learn new processes, agronomic skills and any other requirements that successfully fulfill Blairs customers experiences
