Youre a word wizard, a grammar guru and you literally love alliteration. You can write engaging web copy with your eyes closed and you sleep with a copy of the CP style guide under your pillow.

Well, good news! SGI is looking for someone just like you to fill a Communications Officer position in our Strategy, Marketing and Communications division for an 18-month term.

As a talented and motivated communications professional, youll create and manage content for SGIs employee intranet site and support corporate projects in the development and implementation of communication strategies. Your work will include researching, writing and editing web copy, email copy, infographics, manuals and posters.

This position works closely with a variety of business areas throughout the company, so were looking for someone with the ability to translate detailed and specialized information into informative and engaging content with a broad appeal.

Requirements
Besides walking the fine line between creative flare and adherence to grammatical rules, youll also have:
- A thorough knowledge of strategic communications practices and principles.
- A thorough knowledge of Canadian Press style, writing principles, as well as an eye for proofreading and copy editing for readability.
- A degree in Journalism, Communications or a related field.
