Description

The Winter Team Lead is responsible for running various winter programs from November 2018 to February 2019.
This position also provides support and assistance to RDBID office staff at downtown events as requested.
The Winter Team Lead will be required to work 16 to 20 hours a week depending on the events taking place.
Responsibilities/Skills:
-    Supervise Rink Staff
-    Parking Promo Activation
-    Holiday Launch Activation
-    Coordinate the setup & takedown of weekly rink programming
-    Other duties as assigned
-    Light deliveries within the RDBID Boundaries
-    Maintain accurate reporting
-    Develop & maintain working relationships
-    Communicate work plans & task schedules with other team members
-    Research potential new winter events and programming
-    Coordinate the setup and takedown of rink programming
-    Cover shifts that are unable to be fulfilled by rink staff  
-    Respond to inquiries from all individuals in a polite & knowledgeable manner
-    Participate in all training provided.      
-    Coordinate ongoing inspections of the rink and identify risks or threats to public health & safety.
-    Assist with special projects & duties as required.
        -       Provide assistance to other RDBID staff members as required
Qualifications:
Experience in Hospitability, Tourism, Education or Customer service is considered an asset.
Applicants must possess strong teamwork, problem solving and communication skills. They must be capable of working independently and effectively with minimal supervision. As well, the individual must be able to effectively manage their time. This position requires the individual be able to work four hour shifts during the day, evenings and weekends. This position also requires the individual to be outside for up to 50%-75% of their working hours. Individuals must be comfortable with walking and standing for at least four hours at a time and be able to lift up to 50lbs.
