The Town of Foam Lake invites your application for a permanent full time Town Maintenance Worker.
Foam Lake is a vibrant community located 90 kilometers west of the city of Yorkton on Highway 16 with a current population of 1,148. The diversity of our residents and their willingness to give back to their community represents only a small portion of the spirit and drive that sustains our foundation as a whole.
Working under the Director of Leisure Services and Director of Public Works the successful applicant will possess a sound knowledge of aquatic procedures, town equipment operations, and public facility operations. Additional requirements are as follows:
Qualifications and Education:
Pool Operators Course
WHIMIS
Arena Operators Course Level 1 & 2 (asset, but not immediately required)
First Aide and CPR
Valid drivers license
Clear criminal and vulnerable sector reference check
Skills and Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of aquatic procedures experience is an asset, however the Town is willing to provide training
Broad range skill set including: plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and mechanics
Ability to perform tasks with accuracy
Excellent public relations
Strong interpersonal skills
Supervisory skills; experience is considered an asset to this position
Ability to exercise sound judgement
Physical strength and agility to perform daily duties, which may include heavy lifting
