Treaty Six Education Council requires an Occupational Therapist to be employed in a Full Time position. Training will be supported to assist in keeping with the required SSOT standards. Travel to and from the communities is compensated as per TSEC policy, all leaves and holidays follow the school year calendar.
Job Description:
The Occupational Therapist will provide occupational therapy assessment, intervention and consultation for children within the Treaty Six Education Council area in collaboration with a school based team. Service may be provided within the classroom setting, or the child'ss home. The Occupational Therapist will be based out of North Battleford and may travel up to two hours to visit the First Nation schools on a regularly scheduled basis. The Occupational Therapist will attend planning meetings for implementation of individualized goals for students, perform post assessment meetings, and educate the school staff as it pertains to Autism supports and equipment handling, when required. The Occupational Therapist will also be responsible for keeping detailed treatment notes and behavior data.

Required Qualifications:
Basic Life Support
Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists
Register or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists
Must have own vehicle to travel to communities.
Preference for this position will be given to therapists experienced in working with students, diagnosed within the spectrum of Autism, in a school setting.
Salary:
To be commensurate with qualifications and experience. (Step 5: $37.00 - $41.00/hour)
