Thyssen Mining is currently looking for an experienced candidate to join our onsite Safety Team.  Reporting to the Director of Safety, the Safety Coordinator will promote a safe workplace by ensuring all Thyssen Mining work is performed safely by adhering to the highest of industry standards.  

The applicant attributes could include the following;

-NCSO or CSO designation is required, a CRSP designation would be considered an asset
-Experience working in a mining environment is preferred, construction experience will be considered
-Detail oriented
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Proficient with Microsoft Office (demonstration of skill will be required)
-Results and action oriented
-Display analytical and decision-making skills
-Effective problem solving skills
-Safety sensitive
-Minimum of five (5) years of safety related experience
-Knowledge of tools, equipment and materials common to the work site
-Knowledge of applicable codes, standards and regulations
-Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices and techniques
-Demonstrated understanding of the importance of displaying and promoting a safety first culture of Zero Harm

This position is a rotational position located in Saskatchewan.
