Description

McKercher LLP, a full service law firm with over 60 lawyers, is seeking a Litigation Support Professional in the Saskatoon office.  You will be assisting lawyers and clients as they work through legal proceedings, including providing assistance with document preparation and administrative functions.  This position involves working under tight time schedules and on numerous files at any given time.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent technical and administrative skills, have the ability to prioritize and expedite workflow, possess the ability to handle changing priorities, and be extremely organized. The incumbent will be articulate and will have impeccable writing skills.

Your required skills and knowledge include:

- Handling and prioritizing workloads independently
- Assisting with examinations and trial preparation
- Flexibility to work with changing priorities
- Processing large volumes of documents
- Meeting strict deadlines
- Problem solving with minimal supervision
- Communicating in a professional manner with lawyers, other team members, and clients
- Possessing strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Exercising independent judgment and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

To be successful in the role, you have:

- Advanced computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, along with the ability to learn other firm-specific software
- Knowledge of Eclipse SE or any document management program would be a strong asset
- Strong organizational abilities, technical skills, critical thinking and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision and take initiative
- A willingness to learn and contribute to the team
