Assignment and Term: Dr. Brass School is hiring to fill a temporary part-time position of 3 hours per school days (Monday - Thursday). The position commences October 22, 2018 and will expire June 11, 2019. The work schedule will be in the afternoons from 12:15 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.  Rest periods will be scheduled in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement.

Duties include:  work closely with students to meet their diverse learning goals; provide assistance to students with mobility needs and/or who require personal care; assist the classroom teacher to support learning with all students in the classroom; maintain strict confidentiality of all information pertaining to a child, classroom and the school and, perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designate and those listed in Job Description - Educational Assistant.

Qualifications:  Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. The candidate will have acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work as a team member will be considered assets.

Salary and Benefits:  The successful candidate will be paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate from $16.74 - $21.63 plus applicable vacation pay.  Benefits include participation in the Municipal Employees' Pension Plan if enrollment is chosen and opportunities to attend professional development seminars.
