Who We Are: SARC is a non-profit association representing over 90 community-based organizations that provide developmental, residential, employment, and other supports/services to thousands of people across Saskatchewan. SARC is the parent company of SARCAN Recycling.
SARC is looking to fill the full-time permanent position of Communications Officer, which is responsible for numerous aspects of SARCs communications and promotional activities.
Located at SARCs Saskatoon office, this position will be responsible for:
- Establishing and executing communications/promotional strategies for SARC initiatives
- Ensuring consistent articulation of SARCs brand and various specific program brands
- Developing and/or sourcing communications/creative materials (i.e., print materials, videos)
- Maintaining SARCs website, including developing and/or sourcing content
- Supporting media relations, including maintenance of social media accounts
The successful candidate will have a relevant post-secondary diploma/degree and a minimum of five years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or public relations with demonstrated success. A combination of education and experience may be considered. The successful candidate requires a satisfactory criminal record check.
If you are interested in this position, you must have outstanding oral and written communication skills and attention to detail. Good judgment, adaptability, and initiative are all critical qualities to your success in our busy office. You should have demonstrated proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office products, and photo/video editing software.
