Description

SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts manages hotels operating under major franchise brands, such as Marriott, Hilton, and Radisson.

We are looking for a temporary Host/Hostess to work until end of January 2019 at the Aroma restaurant,  Radisson Hotel Saskatoon.

Reporting to the Restaurant & Lounge Manager, the Host/Hostess will be responsible for guest satisfaction by ensuring guests are courteously greeted & seated in the Restaurant, and assist with In-Room Dining Services.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer satisfaction by courteously greeting customers and promptly escorting them to their seats.
- Present menus, suggest beverages and/or daily specials.
- Exhibit knowledge of all items on the menu and wine list.
- Demonstrate knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities and local information to respond to customer questions.
- Process customer restaurant bills promptly and accurately.
- Check the overall condition of the dining room, ensuring its readiness for customers.
- Assist with In-Room Dining.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education & Qualifications:
- A minimum of six months experience as a Host/Hostess within a full-service hotel property or fine dining restaurant.
- Strong organizational skills  demonstrated ability to proactively prioritize needs.  
- Understanding of technical aspects of POS System.
- Ability to maintain high standards of productivity, efficiency and safety.
- Ability to follow safety & security rules and procedures.

- Hotel Restaurant working conditions
- Constant standing, moving, bending
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Availability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
