SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts manages hotels operating under major franchise brands, such as Marriott, Hilton, and Radisson across Canada.
We are looking for looking for someone who is passionate about baking and pastry with professional experience to join our team as a part-time Pastry Cook at the Radisson Hotel in Saskatoon.
Reporting to the Executive Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards
- Ensure consistent food preparation, production and the highest calibre of food presentation, taking advantage of all opportunities to improve upon both
- Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
- Must have 1 year of experience in a similar position
- Ability to manage time with multiple tasks throughout a shift
- High level of interest with food and have a keen interest in the culinary arts
- Food Safe Certification would be an asset
Working Conditions:
- Various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
- Hotel Kitchen working conditions
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
