Description

Have you ever considered a career in insurance? Dont worry, we hadnt either. But, as it turns out, its a pretty good gig - dynamic, exciting, and rewarding. No, really!

A quick Google search will tell you that our industry is changing fast. And, at the Insurance Brokers Association of Saskatchewan, we're changing, too. To get to where were going, however, we need more horsepower - and that's where you come in.

Based in Regina, were looking for a Public Relations Assistant to join our small-but-mighty team. In this newly-created role, you will work closely alongside the CEO and other colleagues on projects related to communications, advocacy, partnership development, and event management. While no day at IBAS is typical, your schedule may include:

- Writing and proofreading bulletins, letters, and reports;
- Creating content for the associations web and social media properties, as well as SaskBroker Magazine;
- Attending meetings with representatives from government, insurers, and regulators;
- Negotiating sponsorship agreements;
- Brainstorming ideas to promote the broker channel and add member value;
- Supporting the CEO administratively - managing schedules, coordinating meetings, filing expenses, and answering e-mails.

To succeed in this position, you will need to have a strong command over the English language, capable of writing articulately, compellingly, and professionally. Sure, some education in a related field would help; but what we truly value is a great attitude, a willingness to learn, and attention to detail. We want a team player who will take initiative and follow through.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable practical experience, shape and evolve the position, flex your creative muscle, and make a real contribution to the health of the organization and industry.

Up for the challenge? Send us your resume at careers@ibas.ca.
