Working for the Saskatoon Housing Authority,the HVAC Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, overhaul & repairs of HVAC equipment & related systems in all buildings.

You will be a member of the Maintenance Service Dept. & will assess, undertake/complete and/or coordinator repairs & follow-ups related to the site HVAC mechanical & building emergency systems in our properties.

Assess the operation of all components of the property, including structural, mechanical, site & cosmetics of the building
. Perform/coordinate preventative maintenance & overhaul on building HVAC systems
. Perform/coordinate necessary repairs on-sites, efficiently, with little or no interruption or impact to tenants & employees
. Coordinate & make recommendations on insurance claims with the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation & insurance agents/agencies
. Assess, undertake/complete, and/or coordinate work & follow-up related to special projects, ensuring the Residential Standards and Code are met
. Initiate budget recommendations for mechanical systems & special projects.
. Communicate effectively & respectfully with tenants, supervisor, site staff and/or others as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:
. Grade 12 or equivalent;
. Fifth Class Engineer's certificate;
. Fireman's Certificate
. Refrigeration Operator's Certificate
. 5 years + experience in general maintenance & technical training;
. Knowledge of Residential Standards/Code & Safety Regulations
. Knowledge & ability to repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting & mechanical systems.
. Knowledge of building emergency systems

ADDITIONAL:
. Valid Driver's License & road worthy vehicle for work related travel within Saskatoon
. Additional minimum vehicle third party liability insurance of $1,000,000
. Must be able to work outside of regular working hours
. Bondable & trustworthy
