-Ability and willingness to work in compliance with the mission, vision and values of The Salvation Army
-Assist the Co-ordinator of the Christmas Kettle campaign as needed.
-Visit the kettle locations each day, to ensure that supplies are stocked (candy canes, leaflets, envelopes, bells and aprons)
-ensure volunteers or employees standing at the kettles are adhering to all the policies and procedures.
-Ring bells as assigned
-Coordinate / schedule volunteers as requested (using Volunteer Management software)
-Be on call during scheduled times to respond to Kettle incidents or absences
-Adhere to all Salvation Army Policies and procedures related to handling funds and donations.
-Pick up kettles
-Represent The Salvation Army in the Community
-Computer aptitude
-Strong Organizational skills
-Drivers License and able to provide an approvable Drivers Abstract
-Good communication and interpersonal skills.
-Grade 12 diploma
-Physical ability to lift 40 lbs regularly / repeatedly
-Be able to consent to and meet necessary security clearance criteria as determined by The Salvation Army. Including a Criminal Records and Vulnerable sectors check.
-Customer service experience an asset
