The post-Secondary Councilor will perform a variety of duties. The goal of the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation (MLCN) Post-Secondary Counsellor is to assist band members to gain access to post-secondary education and to graduate with the qualifications and skills needed to pursue individual careers and to contribute to their economic self-reliance assist students and clients in various aspects of career exploration and planning in order to improve employability. They will liaise with regional and provincial employers to develop partnership that may include work experience projects, summer employment, and apprenticeship, or mentorship placements and generally engage employers to increase employment of Indigenous people.
