Description

Are you looking for a Northern Experience? Do you love the outdoors? Look no further than beautiful Patuanak (St. Louis School, English River First Nation). We are a small close knit community situated on the beautiful Churchill River where the northern pristine forest emerges.

Patuanak offers a wide variety of outside adventures including fishing, canoeing, sledding, quad riding, boating, camping etc.

The community can be reached on an all-weather road (Highway 918). Patuanak has most of the amenities found in small town sites such as a Northern store, a gas bar, a post office, a clinic, an RCMP detachment, an arena (artificial ice), and a radio station. We offer quality subsidized housing and access to high speed internet.

We are seeking an innovative and qualified Grade 7 teacher to join the school team at St. Louis school (www.englishriverschool.ca). You will be a hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge in all areas and a sound understanding of the Saskatchewan Curriculum. There are opportunities to create student/teacher relationships that will improve the ethos of the school. New teachers are welcome! This is a great school to gain experience!

The position will involve teaching students in Grade 7 and also assisting in the encouragement of extra-curricular activities. The applicant will be a motivated individual with a keen interest in inspiring students to love learning. We provide a competitive salary and subsidized (furnished) housing.

Please submit your updated resume and cover letter to: Harold Flett, Principal, St. Louis School, English River First Nation, Email: harold.flett@mltc.ca

A successful applicant must have a B.Ed. A recent Criminal Record Check (with vulnerable sector) is also required.
