Under the direction of the Program Manager of Community Recovery Services and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Services Coordinator through an agreement with the Ministry of Social Services, is responsible for the delivery of the SAID/SAP benefits which are issued by the Ministry of Social Services. The clients who are served are connected to a psychiatric nurse, social worker or a psychologist who are employed at the Regina Mental Health Clinic within the Saskatchewan Health Authority. This position is responsible to assess financial needs, develop case plans and provide income support to clients in a timely, effective and flexible manner that supports the recovery plan.
Education:
Bachelor of Social Work degree
Experience:
Twelve (12) months previous experience with the SAP and/or other income subsidy program and the Social Work Information Network (SWIN).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic computer skills. Communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with special needs clients. Ability to work independently. Conflict resolution skills. Analytical and general accounting skills.
