Description

Under the direction of the Director of Operations and/or Portfolio Councilor, the Urban Office Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of the urban office through assisting Carry the Kettle members with job searches, outside resources, guidance and any additional administrative support as required

General administration duties including preparation of reports for Chief & Council, photocopying, faxing; running reports and maintaining resource materials. Maintain a current logbook for clients on a daily basis; Assist clients in the use of computers - Oversee client computer use in the resource room.
Ability to assist clients with job searches - Provides support to clients with resumes as required.
Identify and direct community supports, ie; make referrals to supportive services, food bank, family programming. Ability to assist members in identifying their needs through assessment and can direct clients to appropriate next steps. Other tasks and duties as assigned by the program manager
Qualifications; Strong comprehension of all Microsoft Office programs, database systems.
Education: Grade 12 diploma, Office Administration Certificate with a Minimum of (1) year in providing administrative support in an employment service setting and/or experience in an Employment Service Centre. Skills: The ability to work effectively with clients. Familiar with job search tools, local resources; social and community. Strong communication skills. The ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as independently with minimal supervision. Enjoy interacting with diverse individuals throughout the day.

The successful Candidate must be able to maintain a respectful open relationship with the director and staff of Prairie Spirit Connections while respecting the mandate and vision statement of Prairie Spirit Connections Inc.
Work Schedule; Monday, Wednesday, Friday. From 8:30am-4:30pm
