Description

The Accounting Clerk is an integral member of the Finance Services Team, the responsibilities of which include, but not limited to:
Reconciling vendor and customer accounts;
Entering information into the financial accounting software system for timely and accurate processing within accounts receivable and accounts payable; and
Processing payroll, compensation, and regulatory compliance.

This position will commence as soon as possible.

Qualifications and Experience
Demonstrated knowledge of basic accounting fundamentals with experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable;
Strong problem solving skills required to calculate complex adjustments to payroll;
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information;
Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills;
Computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office;
Strong attention to detail;
Service oriented thinking;
Adaptable to change;
Ability to work in fast-paced environment, with strict deadlines;
Possess time management skills with an ability to prioritize daily work;
Multi-tasking ability; and
Ability to work as a team player with all levels of internal staff as well as employees, outside clients, and vendors.
Education
Knowledge of applicable legislation governing payroll and related employee deductions;
Knowledge of accounting and payroll practices; and
