The 911 Admin Support is responsible for providing administrative assistance to the 911 Dispatch / Police Dispatch Centre. Specific responsibilities and duties include:
Provide the first point of contact for 911 call centre; dispatch to the appropriate emergency services centre.
Receive complaints and dispatch the RCMP by operating the police radio.
Transcribing statements and typing legal documents.
Provide administrative support for RCMP members.
Provide coverage for RCMP Admin Support (Front Counter, Records) as required.
Other related duties as assigned.
The 911 Admin Support must be available to perform these duties on a scheduled basis, and be available to work: days, evenings and nights throughout the week. All employees must complete the Emergency Telecommunications Course (ETC).
