Beginning in 1989 as a transformer maintenance and repair shop, PTI Transformers Inc. The Companys 120+ employees currently manufacture and service liquid-filled distribution and small to medium size power transformers from a 100,000 square foot facility in Regina. A Test Technician will:
Perform & record results of Pretests, Power Tests, Di-Electric Tests, Control Tests
Serve as a representative of the company to PTI customers during visits
Ensure that all tests are conducted in a safe & responsible manner and all safety equipment is in working condition and used to safely complete the job
Conduct equipment maintenance
Skills & Experience:
Journeyperson Electrician
Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and specifications
Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Procom, Networking)
Good oral and written communication skills
Strong mathematical ability
Physically able to work at heights of up to 20 feet (approx. 6 metres)
Physically able to perform all required tasks safety
Strong problem solving skills
Additional Skills
- Collect, record and summarize inspection results
