Job Description: Under the direction of the program area manager, as applicable, and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker MSW provides a range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case coordination services to a primarily adult community mental health and addiction population. The incumbent provides program consultation, evaluation of clinical interventions, preceptor students in formal clinical practicum and provides professional and public education regarding mental health and addiction issues and resources.
Experience:


Clinical experience working in a Mental Health and Addictions setting.


Qualifications:


Required Qualifications


"    Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy

"    Eligibility for registration with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists

"    Valid Saskatchewan Drivers license


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


"    A strong working knowledge of addictions and mental health related issues and the effects on the individual, family unit and community

"    Ability to provide individual, group and crisis management/stabilization counselling skills

"    Basic computer literacy to operate a computerized client care information system (word processing, spreadsheet, internet and email software)

"    Demonstrated ability to provide relevant research on evidence based practice and outcome measurements in the field of Mental Health and Addictions

"    Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team

"    Demonstrated interpersonal competence including effective problem solving and conflict resolution skills

"    Excellent oral and written communication skills
