National Cartage/MattJenn is a Saskatchewan based organization that began in 1939 and has grown to a highly successful international company. From local deliveries within the cities of Regina and Saskatoon to longer hauls in Western Canada and Midwestern US, we can provide almost any shipping and transportation requirement.
Working out of our Saskatoon terminal we are looking for an individual who has warehouse supervisory experience. Candidates with a class 1A drivers license will be given preference. Combined with the Class 1A licence candidates will have experience working in a warehouse supervising other employees.
Responsibilities include:
-providing supervision and direction to warehouse associates.
-ensure warehouse associates handle their responsibilities in a safe manager.
-provide direction to warehouse associates on proper handling and storage of shipments received
-ensure proper handling of shipments that are loaded for delivery.
-operation of a forklift as required.
-ensure proper documentation of work performed in the warehouse.
-provide direction to warehouse associates on management of goods in the warehouse and ensure that they maintain a clean, safe and positive work environment.
-Ensure facilitys equipment and materials are maintained in a clean, neat, and orderly fashion.
-City and regional delivery of goods to our customers.
Qualifications:
-Supervisory skills; preferably in a warehouse setting
-Experience working in a warehouse
-Hold a Saskatchewan Class 1A drivers licence
-Experience in the operation of a forklift
-Customer service skills
-Team player
-Ability to lift up to 23kg (50 lbs.)
-Understanding of the following:
- Dangerous goods occurrence reports
- Inspection reports
- Maintenance & repair reports
- Trip reports/accident reports
