Rely-ex Contracting is looking for a full time, permanent Human Resource Manager/Generalist to replace our current manager in retirement. The successful candidate will examine and evaluate the current human resource operations in place at Rely-ex. The manager will create and maintain all job descriptions, wage standards and employee reviews. The manager will also ensure all employees have proper orientation and training when starting with Rely-ex Contracting.
The manager is responsible for general administration of the employee benefits program, workers compensation, and human rights issues. The manager is expected to review current procedures for payroll, scheduling and apprenticeship and ensure it is being conducted in a timely and accurate manner. The manager will eventually be responsible for the administration of the company safety program and COR certification.
The Human Resources Manager is a member of the Rely-ex Contracting Health & Safety committee. The manager is responsible for ensuring the enforcement and maintenance to the Health & Safety program along with the other members of the committee.
This position reports directly to upper management. On the job training will be provided, including a 6 month probationary period and direct work with senior management in areas of interest.
Skills and Requirements:
Education:
- Post secondary education in a field related to personnel management. At least 6 years work experience in personnel management in lieu of education would be accepted. Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelors degree in Human Resources and Development
- Knowledge of Canadian, provincial and local Human Resource requirements and standards
- First Aid and CPR training is an asset
Work Experience:
- Previous experience as a Human Resource Manager is an asset
- Experience in construction or related field is considered an asset
- Previous experience in leadership and skills training is considered an asset
