JOB SUMMARY:
The Specialist, Quality Assurance and Metrics is a key position in the Technology and Security (T&S) department at SaskPower. The Specialist, QA & Metrics plays a key role in maintaining project management quality by providing visibility into project processes and metrics, creating and enforcing quality management strategies and policies. As a member of SaskPowers management team, this position is responsible to act as a central point of contact in the management and administration of strategic and operational functions, providing expert advice and direction that aligns with departmental and corporate goals and objectives.
The Specialist, QA & Metrics will provide critical support to the T&S Project Assurance and Change Management Office. The successful candidate will quickly develop an understanding of organization, project management methods and controls and key business metrics in order to perform Quality Assurance and Metrics analysis duties. The core responsibilities of the Specialist, QA & Metrics will be focused around identifying, reviewing, and tracking and reporting Quality Assurance for project management processes; analyze, design and develop metrics, reports and analyses to drive key business decisions and support quality project delivery and realization of business benefits.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related equivalent AND/OR;
Related professional designation(s) and/or certification(s) including Six Sigma, CMMI, ISO 9001:2015, PMP, PRINCE2 AND/OR; 5 years of related project management or project support experience
Knowledge of QA tools, concepts and methodologies
