Description

The AgBusiness Specialist position is Blair's window to the customer.  In this position you will be part of the Blair's sales team, working to create solutions and opportunities for customers to help their business be more profitable and efficient. You will work with customers at the Blair's retail location and by customer farm calls. The AgBusiness Specialist is tasked with developing specific plans to help customers create sustainable production. Blair's is looking for individuals that can problem solve at the farm-gate benefiting customers with added efficiency and/or increasing profitability.  Blair's is a leader in developing sustainable agriculture initiatives that helps individual farms understand and develop sustainable production for future generations. You will have the ability to work with the Blair's team of professional sales individuals and enhance your agronomic skills specifically as it relates to assisting with customers, field trials, and other related projects as directed by the Sales Director.

Time management, ability to understand the needs and challenges of primary agriculture, excellent oral communication skills, the ability to take direction and coaching from your sales or agronomy team mentors, the ability to communicate clearly through writing, emails, etc., the ability to use Microsoft office applications, most importantly the ability to identify problems and challenges and work with the Blairs customer to develop an effective solution.

The AgBusiness Specialist position will be based out of a Blairs retail location and will work with the sales team and the professional agronomy team in Blairs. If you have sales experience and/or a background in the agricultural industry, we would be interested in hearing from you.  Eligibility for enrollment in the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologist is an asset.
