Summary: The Regional Sports Coordinator is a friendly, highly organized, independent individual. They will work with a variety of departmental teams in the hotel and provide very clear communication and direction of guest needs. Responsibilities include booking sports teams (and other related group business), detailing team needs and requirements, blocking necessary team function spaces and managing guestroom blocks. Equipped with a Guest First attitude, this role is responsible for creating and delivering memorable experiences for our guests.
Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities :( Abbreviated)
Consult with clients to determine needs for guestrooms, room blocking requirements, function space, team rooms, meal time requirements, parking, etc.
Organize and complete rooming lists and ensure room blocking requirements are met
Arrange, coordinate and communicate all billing requirements (including rebates)
Onsite point of contact for team managers and coaches
Prepare proposals, contracts and event orders for clients
Manage and update PMS, Catering Event Management Software and all systems required to communicate the group booking needs to all departments
Attend sales and operational meetings as required
Knowledge of all service and facilities of the hotel
Coordinate arrival packages for individuals or teams
Identify and resolve all sports guest concerns/issues to their satisfaction
Other sales related duties as assigned, which will include:
o Coordinating pool party event spaces and bookings
o Assisting in hotel hosted tournaments and events
o Other assigned tasks by the Regional Senior Sales Manager
Education, Experience, & Skills: (Abbreviated)
Post-secondary education or hospitality certificate is an asset
Knowledge of hotel reservation operations/experience is an asset
